As you can see a logo on the front page of my blog named ‘The Internet Defense League‘ which was established in 2012.As Internet Defense League is a website which was launched in 2012 for supporting the anti-piracy and criminal activities occurring  followed by the movement named PIPA(Protect IP Act) and anti-SOPA(Stop Online Piracy Act).

The Internet Defense League site is a creation of the Fight for the Future.Fight for the Future is a nonprofit advocacy group in the area of digital rights founded in 2011. The group aims to promote causes related to copyright legislation, as well as online privacy and censorship through the use of the Internet.

In this type of protests like SOPA , Internet Defense League and PIPA some of the famous personalities like Alexis Ohanian (founder of Reddit) are heavily involved.

According to Tiffiniy Cheng, co-founder of Fight for the Future, the aim of the Defense League site is to sign up thousands of websites, from giant organizations to individual bloggers, who can be mobilized quickly if needed for future anti-piracy legislation protests. They will use a “cat signal”, a takeoff on the Bat signal, if there is need to act.
